Care & Maintenance
Caring for your ROADWEST parts helps keep your rig safer, longer, and on the road where it belongs. Every part we sell is built for heavy-duty use, but proper care and installation will greatly extend its service life.
Please follow the general guidelines below – they apply to most mirrors, lights, bumpers and other truck accessories on ROADWEST.
- Test-fit before final install: Always dry-fit the part on your truck before painting, drilling or permanently mounting it. Once a part is modified, returns may be limited.
- Follow OEM-style installation: Use the correct hardware and torque values where applicable. For electrical parts (lights, heated mirrors, sensors), follow the wiring diagram and avoid cutting or bypassing factory harnesses.
- Clean with mild products only: Wash chrome, stainless steel and painted surfaces with mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive pads, acidic cleaners, strong solvents or high-pressure jets that can damage finishes or seals.
- Protect against corrosion: After washing, rinse thoroughly and dry the part, especially around mounting points and fasteners. In winter climates, remove road salt regularly and inspect brackets for surface rust.
- Check alignment & tightness: After the first few trips, re-check mirror arms, brackets and mounting bolts. Retighten if needed to prevent vibration, noise or premature wear.
- Handle lenses & glass with care: Do not strike, pry or use sharp tools on glass or plastic lenses. When de-icing, use non-abrasive methods – never hammer ice off the part.
- Electrical components: For heated mirrors, LED lights and other powered parts, keep connectors clean and dry. If you notice flickering, intermittent heat or moisture inside the housing, disconnect power and inspect before further use.
- Regular inspection: Include aftermarket parts in your normal walk-around inspections. Look for cracks, loose mounts, damaged wiring or missing hardware and address issues promptly.

The High Soar 48V Lithium Battery Charger is a high-performance 20A, 1000W LiFePO4 charger built for 48V lithium iron phosphate battery packs. It provides fast, reliable charging for golf carts, RVs, marine vessels, solar energy storage systems, trolling motors, electric yachts, forklifts and more.
With a dedicated 48V charging voltage and 20A output current, this charger is engineered specifically for LiFePO4 batteries, helping protect your investment and extend overall cycle life. It supports a wide range of 48V applications where stable, high-efficiency charging is critical.
For flexible installation, the charger offers two connection methods through an Anderson connector module:
- M8 terminal cable – for permanent installation. Tighten the M8 eyelets to battery posts for a secure, long-term connection.
- Alligator clips – for temporary connection to batteries with protruding terminals, ideal for occasional charging or testing (not recommended for high-current applications).
A clear 3-color charging status indicator makes it easy to monitor progress: Red/Green Flash indicates Waiting Mode, Red Flash shows low charging (<80%), Yellow Flash indicates normal charging (>80%) and Solid Green confirms the battery is fully charged (100%). After reaching full charge, the charger automatically shuts down to help prevent overcharging and extend battery lifespan.
The 48V LiFePO4 charger includes a full suite of protection functions, such as output over-voltage cutoff, over-current and short-circuit protection, reverse connection protection and input under-voltage shutdown. A dual-temperature monitoring system uses an external NTC sensor to track ambient temperature while internal circuitry monitors component temperature to help prevent thermal runaway and improve safety.
For durability, the charger features an aluminum alloy enclosure that supports passive heat dissipation, combined with an internal cooling fan and optimized air duct design. This combination significantly improves cooling efficiency, ensures stable operation under load and helps extend the service life of the charger. With its IP65 waterproof construction, it is well suited to demanding environments such as marine, outdoor and industrial use.
- Multipurpose 48V Charger: Designed for 48V LiFePO4 batteries used in golf carts, RVs, boats, solar storage systems, trolling motors, electric yachts and forklifts.
- High Output: Provides up to 20A charging current and 1000W rated power for efficient, fast charging.
- Two Connection Options: Anderson-based system with M8 terminal cable for permanent installs and alligator clips for temporary use (clips not recommended for high-current setups).
- Charging Status Indicator: 3-color LED indicates waiting, low charge (<80%), normal charge (>80%) and fully charged states.
- Automatic Shutdown: Charger turns off automatically once the battery is fully charged to help avoid overcharging.
- Comprehensive Protection: Over-voltage cutoff, over-current and short-circuit protection, reverse polarity protection and input under-voltage shutdown.
- Dual Temperature Sensing: External NTC sensor plus internal temperature monitoring to help prevent overheating.
- Efficient Cooling: Aluminum alloy case with active cooling fan and optimized air ducts for stable long-term operation.
- IP65 Waterproof: Dust-tight and water-resistant housing suitable for harsh or outdoor environments.
