RoadWest Truck Parts Limited Warranty

At RoadWest Truck Parts (“RoadWest”, “we”, “our”, “us”), we stand behind the quality of the heavy-duty truck parts we sell. This Limited Warranty explains what is covered, what is not covered, and how to start a warranty claim for orders placed on www.RoadWestTruckParts.com.

This warranty applies only to products purchased and used within the United States on on-road, commercial vehicles.

Who Is Covered

This Limited Warranty applies to:

  • The original retail purchaser who bought the part directly from RoadWest Truck Parts.
  • Products purchased on our official website.
  • Parts installed on the vehicle type and application specified on the product page.

This warranty is not transferable to subsequent owners and does not apply to purchases made from other websites, marketplaces, dealers, or resellers.

Warranty Period

Unless a different term is clearly stated on the product page, the standard coverage is:

  • RoadWest-branded or High Soar-branded parts: 12-month limited warranty from the original date of purchase.
  • Electrical & electronic components (e.g. motors, heating elements, LED boards): up to 12 months, subject to the manufacturer’s policy stated on the product page.
  • Bulbs, fuses, wear items and consumables (such as halogen bulbs, gaskets, hardware, etc.): may carry shorter or no warranty depending on the manufacturer.

If a specific product lists a different warranty term on its detail page or packaging, that specific term will apply.

What This Warranty Covers

During the applicable warranty period, RoadWest will, at our discretion, repair, replace, or provide store credit for a part that is found to have a defect in materials or workmanship under normal, intended use.

Examples of covered issues include (but are not limited to):

  • Manufacturing defects in mirror housings, brackets, or mounting arms.
  • Defective heating elements in heated mirrors or mirror glass, under normal operation.
  • Chrome or painted finishes that peel or flake prematurely (not caused by chemicals, impact, or external abuse).
  • Incorrect internal wiring or assembly that prevents the product from functioning as described.
  • Items that arrive dead-on-arrival (DOA) or fail shortly after proper installation under normal use.

What This Warranty Does Not Cover

Our Limited Warranty is designed to protect you from manufacturing defects. It does not cover damage, failure, or loss caused by factors outside our control, including but not limited to:

  • Incorrect part selection, ordering the wrong side, or purchasing for an incompatible make/model/year.
  • Improper installation, adjustment, or alignment (including installation contrary to OEM guidelines).
  • Accidents, collisions, impacts, road debris, curbing, or other external damage.
  • Normal wear and tear, cosmetic scratches, stone chips, or fading due to age or environment.
  • Corrosion or damage caused by chemicals, salt, pressure-washing, or harsh cleaners.
  • Modifications, drilling, cutting, or altering the part beyond its intended design.
  • Use in non-standard applications (e.g. racing, off-road competition, non-road-legal vehicles).
  • Damage from overloading, abuse, or neglect of the vehicle or product.
  • Any product on which the serial number, label, or safety markings have been removed or altered.

This warranty also does not cover any of the following costs or losses:

  • Labor costs for installation, removal, diagnostics, or alignment.
  • Downtime, loss of use, loss of income or revenue, rental vehicles, towing, or storage fees.
  • Shipping charges to and from our facilities or the manufacturer, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • Any damage to other vehicle components, cargo, or personal property.

How to Start a Warranty Claim

If you believe your part is defective and may be covered under this Limited Warranty, please follow these steps before removing or discarding anything:

  1. Gather your information: Have your order number, purchase date, product SKU/description, and vehicle details (year, make, model, and VIN if available) ready.
  2. Take clear photos or video: Show the part installed on the vehicle, the defect or damage, and any labels or markings on the product. For electrical parts, photos of wiring and connectors are very helpful.
  3. Contact RoadWest Support:
    • Use our Contact Us form; or
    • Email us using the contact details on the same page.
  4. Wait for instructions: Our team may ask additional questions, request more photos, or provide a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and the correct warehouse address for return.
  5. Ship the product if required: Unless otherwise stated, you are responsible for packaging the part securely and shipping it back to the address we specify. Returns sent without an RMA may be refused or delayed.

In many cases we can troubleshoot or approve a claim using photos alone, without requiring the part to be returned. This is determined on a case-by-case basis.

Available Remedies

If a product is confirmed to be defective in materials or workmanship during the warranty period, RoadWest may, at our sole discretion:

  • Repair the product; or
  • Replace it with the same or a comparable product; or
  • Issue store credit or a refund of the purchase price (excluding original shipping fees).

Any replacement part will be covered for the remainder of the original warranty period, or 90 days from the replacement date, whichever is longer.

Manufacturer & OEM Warranties

Some products may carry a separate manufacturer or OEM warranty with specific terms and procedures. In those cases:

  • The manufacturer’s warranty terms may apply instead of, or in addition to, this RoadWest Limited Warranty.
  • We may coordinate the claim with the manufacturer on your behalf, or direct you to contact them directly.
  • Resolution time and available remedies can vary by manufacturer.

The product page or packaging will typically indicate if a manufacturer warranty is in place.

Relationship With Shipping & Return Policies

Warranty claims often intersect with our shipping and returns processes:

  • Shipping Policy: For transit damage, lost shipments, or delivery issues, please review our Shipping Policy first.
  • Returns & Refunds: If your part is unused, ordered incorrectly, or you wish to return it within the standard return window, please see our Easy Return & Refund Policy .

RoadWest may route your case through either our Returns process or our Limited Warranty process, depending on the nature and timing of the issue.
