This Return & Refund Policy applies to eligible orders placed on roadwesttruckparts.com and shipped within the United States.
Please review this policy together with our Shipping Policy, Warranty Policy, and FAQ.
1) Standard Return Window
Most new, unused items may be returned within 30 calendar days of delivery.
- The item must be in new, unused, and resalable condition.
- The item must include original packaging, hardware, and accessories.
- Items with signs of installation, damage, modification, or missing parts may be refused or may receive a partial refund.
This standard 30-day return window also applies to non-defective items that a customer wishes to return due to change of mind, ordering error, or no longer needing the item, subject to the conditions and fees described in this policy.
2) Return Eligibility
Returns are generally accepted for new, unused items ordered from our website, subject to inspection.
Customers are responsible for confirming fitment (year/make/model/application) before ordering.
3) Non-Returnable Items
The following items are generally non-returnable unless approved under a warranty claim or due to our shipping error:
- Electrical or electronic components after installation, wiring, or use
- Custom-made, special-order, painted, or modified items
- Items marked as final sale or non-returnable on the product page
- Gift cards or non-physical items
4) How to Start a Return (RMA Required)
All returns require an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) before shipping anything back.
- Prepare your order number and the item(s) you want to return.
- Contact us through our Contact Us page or email service@roadwesttruckparts.com.
- Our team will review your request and provide return instructions if approved.
- Pack the item securely and include the RMA number.
- Follow the return instructions provided by our team and ship the return to the approved return address.
Returns sent without an RMA may be refused or delayed.
5) Return Method & Return Shipping Cost
Approved returns are accepted by mail.
- For non-defective returns (including change of mind, ordering error, or no longer needing the item), the customer is responsible for return shipping costs.
- For confirmed defective, damaged, DOA, wrong item shipped, or other confirmed ROADWEST error cases, ROADWEST will cover the return shipping cost and provide return instructions, including a prepaid return label where applicable.
6) Original Shipping Charges
Original shipping charges (if any) are generally not refundable, unless the return is due to a confirmed ROADWEST error (for example, wrong item shipped).
7) Damaged, Missing, or Incorrect Items
Please inspect your order as soon as it arrives.
7.1 Shipping Damage or Missing Items
- For parcel deliveries, report damage or missing items within 3 business days of delivery.
- For freight deliveries, inspect before signing. If damage is visible, note it on the delivery receipt and take photos.
- Keep all packaging materials until the issue is resolved.

7.2 Incorrect Item Received
If you received the wrong item, contact us within 30 calendar days of delivery with your order number and photos.
If confirmed, we will provide return instructions and a replacement or refund.
8) Defective or DOA Items (Warranty Claims)
If an item arrives defective or not working (DOA), please contact us within 7 calendar days of delivery with photos or video.
This DOA window is separate from the 30-day standard return window.
Issues after installation are usually handled under our Warranty Policy.
9) Restocking Fee
An approved return may be subject to a restocking fee of 20% of the product price for non-defective returns, including returns due to change of mind, ordering error, or no longer needing the item.
No restocking fee will apply where the return is due to a confirmed ROADWEST shipping error, wrong item shipped, damaged-in-transit item, approved defective/DOA claim, or other approved warranty-related issue.
10) Refund Processing Time
After your return is received and inspected, approved refunds are generally completed within 10 business days.
- Refunds are issued to the original payment method whenever possible.
- The exact posting time may vary depending on your bank or card issuer.
- If the original payment method is unavailable, we may issue store credit where appropriate.
11) Order Changes and Cancellations
If you need to change or cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible.
- If the order has not shipped, we may be able to change or cancel it.
- If the order has already shipped, it will be handled under this Return & Refund Policy.
12) Return Address
Please do not return items to our business address unless we instruct you to do so.
The correct return address may vary by product and warehouse. We will provide the return address after your return request is approved.
